With hair, spa, and make-up services, Hairchitects is always buzzing with good conversation over a love for beauty. Founder Story
In the early 1990s, Jean Becker, owner of Hairbenders, realized she wanted a business partner, and approached Sue Gregor, owner of Image of New Prague, just down the street. After one conversation (and meeting each other for the first time), Jean and Sue agreed that they could better serve the community by combining their talents. Shortly after, they remodeled Sue’s space, merged their teams, and Hairchitects Salon & Spa was born.
During our 29 years in business, we have seen many hair trends come and go (and sometimes not quickly enough!). We’ve perfected ‘The Rachel’ and mastered the ombre, we’ve crimped our hair and tied in feathers. We’ve let our men’s hair grow shaggy, and cut it short, and then let it grow out again, but this time just the top. As each hair style fades into history, we eagerly learn the next.

The Salon Expands
But, we do more than just hair! Our goal is always to meet the needs of our clients, so in 2008, we relocated and added a full spa to our offerings. With the addition of massage, facials, and body waxing, we can treat and beautify the whole person. In the recent years, injectables have been added to our docket (29 years in business is looking a little younger!). The spa team prioritizes comfort and relaxation as they tend to the well-being of our clients.

In 2019, long-time owner Sue Gregor stepped down and handed over the reins to Marina McGuire. Marina was part of the original team, and has been a dedicated member ever since. With endless drive and passion for the beauty industry, Marina and Jean run the salon with the quality and care clients have come to expect!
Our team of service providers who have been with us since the beginning, and fresh faces who keep us on our toes, have shaped Hairchitects Salon & Spa and continue to move it into the future. We work hard to remain educated so our clients are given the best hairstyles and treatments around!
